 Ingredients for Attracting Butterflies

 1) Flowering plants that provide nectar for butterflies. (See list below)

2) Host plants that provide nutrition for caterpillars. (See list below)

3) Abundant sunshine!

4) Wet sand or a mud puddle in shady nooks provide easy water access.

5) Flat rocks in the sun provide a resting area.

6) Protection from strong winds. It is a good idea to plant next to your home or an out building. Taller trees or shrubs can also protect your garden from strong wind.

7) NO INSECTICIDES!!
